This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Account data: email and password hash (if you sign up for a paid plan).
Product descriptions: the text you paste into the Optimizer. We send this to Google Gemini for processing and may store it briefly to debug issues.
Payment data: processed by DodoPayments; we never see or store your card number.
Usage data: basic analytics (page views, generations per user) via PostHog.

2. How We Use It

To provide the optimization service.
To process subscription billing.
To diagnose bugs and improve quality.
To send you transactional emails (signup confirmation, receipts, security).

3. Third Parties

We share data only with the providers we depend on:

Google Gemini - processes your product descriptions to generate listings.
DodoPayments - processes payments (acts as Merchant of Record).
Vercel - hosts the application.
Resend - sends transactional emails.
Crisp - powers customer support chat (chat content visible to support).
PostHog - usage analytics (anonymized).

4. AI Processing Disclosure

Product descriptions you enter are sent to Google Gemini for generation. By Google's API terms, your inputs are not used to train Google's foundation models (verified per Google AI Studio terms as of May 2026). We do not feed your inputs into any model training pipeline of our own.

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@listingpilot.net. Generated content history is kept for 90 days for your convenience, then purged.

6. Your Rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data. EU/UK residents have additional rights under GDPR (data portability, objection to processing). Contact us to exercise any of these.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies (auth session, free-tier credit counter). No advertising cookies. No third-party tracking pixels beyond PostHog (which respects Do Not Track headers).

8. Children

The Service is not intended for users under 16.

9. Changes

Material changes will be emailed to subscribers 14 days in advance.
